A Pittsburgh transplant, former Realtor and Restaurantor turned Gluten-free Caterer & Baker, Owner Christine Harman takes great pride in serving the highest quality and best tasting gluten-free prepared meals, pizza and baked goods in Sarasota and Manatee counties.
A pioneer in the gluten-free evolution and in her fourth year, Christine's "Good to be Gluten Free" Catering & Bakery Company began after a friend was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Researching her own illnesses, Christine learned she was gluten intolerant and began creating foods she could eat and enjoy and serve to customers while she owned her former restaurant, Vertoris Pizza House. Christine sold Vertoris Pizza House in September of 2011 so she could focus strickly on gluten-free catering and baking as a vendor for the Sarasota and Englewood Farmers Markets.
Currently, you can buy her GF pizza crusts frozen or freshly prepared with various sauces and cheese, gluten-free frozen meals, made-from-scratch soups and fresh baked goods on Saturday mornings at the downtown Sarasota Farmers Market and on Thursday mornings at the downtown Englewood Farmers Market. You can also buy GF meals, soups and pizza, fully-prepared and frozen in the gluten free freezer at the Butchers Gourmet shop located in Osprey on Rt 41 at Blackburn Point Road. Christine's growing list of clients call on her to prepare gluten-free, dairy-free, casein-free, and/or egg-free baked goods and pizza shells as well.
The Broken Egg Restaurants on Siesta Key, Clark Road and Lakewood Ranch offer Christine's GF bread on their menu for breakfast and lunch, as well as the new Bond Restaurant in downtown Sarasota.
